Rumors Favor Fallon For Microsoft Win

fallon_minn.jpg

Since last December Fallon Minneapolis and Crispin Porter + Bogusky have been battling for the $2-300 million Microsoft consumer products account. The Daily Ad Biz reports rumors are flying Microsoft has chosen Fallon. There's been no confirmation either way but wouldn't it be fun if waning poster boy CP+B took a hit? OK, that's mean. We'd never wish that on anyone. Well, maybe we would but not here. May the best shop (or the one that plays the game the best) win.

I'm hoping Fallon gets it -- not because of some mean jealousy to see the mighty fall -- but to actually see the used-to-be-mighty make a comeback. Let's be positive. Karma has a way of catching up with us all.

Ugh. As someone who worked on the Microsoft account for five years, that's one account I wouldn't want to win. They're a cancer to anyone who touches the business.

I suppose fallon could manage the account. that being said, IMHO cpplusb has the peeps, the mojo AND the huevos to make MS more appealing to end users. May the best shop [for Microsoft] win.

To the pain...
