Madonna Benetton Ad Interestingly Timed With Adoption Controversy

benetton_madonna_family.jpg

Make the Logo Bigger points us to a new Benetton ad in which Madonna candidly poses with her three children, including the boy from Malawi whose dubious adoption she's actively campaigning to defend. But hey, we're willing to bet at least $1 that one has nothing to do with the other. - Contributed by Angela Natividad

Uhh, I'm not so sure this is a Benetton ad Steve... I think snarky commentary and fact are being slightly intertwined. All things considered, it's a little too much of a media circus to garner any more of our attention. NEXT!

Nick's right. (I probably shoulda WOMMA-ized that one a little better, sorry for the confusion.) But hey, snark is my middle name. Or is it wiseass. Not sure.

Still, judging by the ads the Benneton Circus puts out and Madonna’s Bold PR Moves, is that really such a stretch? Especially considering they have ads with dying AIDS patients and their families bedside or deathrow profiles every five minutes.

Come on, Benetton's calmed down a bit. They fired the guy who did the Death Row ads and began a full-frontal starvation campaign in its stead. (My personal favourite has to be the man with the spoon for a hand.)

So shame on you for playing the unabashed sensationalist, Bill. Shame, shame, shame. =o)

“Full-frontal starvation.”

That's hot.
